Moisture penetrates the surface instead of forming a film on the surface, as with ordinary plastics or painted wood. This means that the feel remains unchanged regardless of whether the grip is dry or wet.

Simple rework

The material can be easily reworked using a file or sandpaper. The grips are printed with a particularly high wall thickness. Up to 5 mm of material can be removed to adjust the geometry.

2. Geometry

Angle of Attack

The angle of attack of the grip determines the basic position of the hand. In addition, the height of the pressure point is influenced by the angle of attack.

Grip width

The width of the grip is mainly based on the archer’s preferences. For example, it may be more comfortable to choose a wider grip if you have a larger hand, but this is not necessary. In addition, the wider the grip, the greater the risk of twisting the bow by moving the pressure point too far from the center of the bow.

Edge radius

the edge radius significantly defines the feel of the grip. The smaller the radius, the sharper the edge. This means that it is felt more strongly in the palm of the hand. A sharp edge forms a distinctive reference point that supports the consistent positioning of the hand. If the radius is larger, the comfort of the grip increases.

Wedge

The wedge at the top of the grip provides additional support for positioning in the hand. For wedge 1, the contour lines in the upper area of the grip scale are merged into a triangle. For wedge 2, the thickening is enlarged in the right area, which makes the wedge stand out even more.

*Edge radius 1/3 means for RH grips R_left=1mm/R_right=3mm and for LH grips R_left=3mm/R_right=1mm. RH means that the right hand pulls the string and the left hand holds the bow. For LH, vice versa.

The SLS grip No. 1 is our standard grip model. The slim basic geometry is based on the Hoyt High Wrist Grip, which is popular with many athletes and has been standard equipment on this brand’s riser for years. The contact surface is almost completely flat and only slightly curved. The edges on the right and left are rounded with 3 mm radii, creating a pleasantly tactile outer edge without being too sharp on the hand.

Grip No.1 Angle

No. 02

The SLS grip No. 2 is particularly distinguished by the wedge in the upper area. This is based on the KSL grip, which was only available for a short time and supports the diagonal position of the hand in the grip. Furthermore, it serves as an additional reference point for a consistent hand position. The contact surface is almost completely flat and only slightly curved. The left edge is slightly sharper with a 1 mm radius, creating a more noticeable outer edge that perfectly fits the lifeline in the hand.

The edges are rounded with 3 mm radii, creating a pleasantly noticeable outer edge. The wedge in the upper area supports a diagonal hand position.

The left edge is slightly sharper with a 1 mm radius, creating a more noticeable outer edge that perfectly fits the lifeline in the hand.
