SCAN
Scanning uses infrared photogrammetry to create a cloud of points in virtual 3D space that map the surface of the grip.
POSTPROCESSING
Artifacts and errors of the scan are removed. The point cloud is converted into a 3D mesh. The geometry is then post-processed in the CAD program:
- Smoothing the surface
- Adjustments of the geometry as desired
- Modify for other riser
- Customized text
- Anti-Slip Hex-Pattern
PRODUCTION
The virtual modeled grip is printed with our SLS technology. This gives your grip the unique benefits of the SLS process as our standard grips.

Sometimes it is necessary to coat the grip with magnesium oxide powder paint for the scan. The ink is easily soluble in water and is removed immediately after the scan. Please note that your grip for the scan must therefore be water resistent!

Order process
- Place your order through this page. Here you can already configure your new grip with individual text, color and hex pattern. Also specify which riser your new grip should fit on.
- Wait for the order confirmation and then send us your grip to: Charlier, Eßer and Hilpert GbR., Forsterheider Straße 34, 52072 Aachen, Germany
- We create a 3D scan of your handle shell and model a model on this basis in CAD.
- You will receive a 360° view of the model from us for inspection. Erst wenn du dein OK gibst, geht die Griffschale in Produktion.
- Your new grip will go into production with the next production batch.
- We will send your new grip back to you along with the one you sent us.
